600 Arrested in D.C. Protests
Well, once again it is the protestors rather than the actual meetings that the media covers. Sensational, tabloid, and totally irrelevant. What are the protestors protesting? What specific policies of the IMF and World Bank are they against? Do they actually have valid concerns or are they just professional protestors? And more importantly, what are the leaders of the world financial community actually doing? You will be hard pressed to actually find the answers to such questions in much of the media coverage of these events, and this really bothers me.
