Election Day
I voted today. I just wanted to state that for the record. In this post-9-11 era, as we stand on the brink of war with Iraq, and new terrorist warnings issued daily, I am hoping that voter turnout will be amazingly, fantastically high. Of course, most commentators expect that voter turnout will again be low, as it usually is in midterm elections. I hope the American people will exceed expectations. I've been keeping up with the election news and issues, even went to a public rally last week when Bill Clinton was in town to stump for local Democrats. I've never seen Clinton in person, so I was eager to go. Of course, "in person" is a relative term, I saw him from a distance, me and a few thousand other people. Still, it was an interesting way to spend Halloween.
