Bin Laden Tape Deemed Authentic
I wonder if confirming the authenticity of this tape is really such a great idea? Wouldn't it be an interesting gambit to cast doubt on it, to suggest that in this time of digital media it may well be a clever forgery, thereby forcing Osama to release yet another tape saying, "really, it is me, really it is." The more tapes he has to release, the more likely it is that he will reveal his lines of communication and give away his location.
